Unsure about what sport this top is for. What can be said is that the maker R&M Sports, Broadway, Astoria (Queens), manufactured many kits for teams in the New York State Area. 

Set up in the 40s, the family-run shop is well known around its native, Long Island. It could be seventies but the material colour, pallete, and my gut says it's earlier (perhaps sixties). Potentially linked to St Raymonds' School. 

A true vintage piece, the striking orange colour, stripes on the sleeves and the spell out.
